Murray McDavid Mystery Malt Mull’s Finest 8 Year Koval Bourbon Cask Finish

The Isle of Mull is home to one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, traditionally producing small amounts of single malt and prepare their barley by drying it with peat smoke.

Nose: Smoky pineapple, coastal bonfire

Palate: Fresh peat, salted fudge, vanilla

Finish: Sweet, oily mouth coating smoke

Finished for 18 months in a 110-litre Koval Bourbon cask, this vibrant, peated malt has vigorously integrated with the vanilla-rich American oak – a dram that dances on the palate.
