1955 FERRARI 250 EUROPA GT COUPE

Proof that not every barn find has been uncovered, this 1955 Ferrari 250 Europa GT was recently discovered hiding in California. Originally sold to a high-profile Ferrari client in Italy, the car was exported to the US in the late ’50s or early ’60s. Bought by a collector in Southern California, the car was retired from the road in the mid-’60s and has spent the rest of its life on display. The 250 Europa is considered the first of the legendary line of Ferrari’s 250 GT models, laying the groundwork for the front-engine V12 grand tourers that would be made through the late-’60s. With its incredible patina (including the original Pirelli hoses) and early-production details, this Ferrari is sure to bring a premium when it goes to auction in May 2021.
