The Brooke Double R is a flyweight roadster following the British tradition of ultralight sports cars like the Lotus 7 and Ariel Atom. Using a tubular spaceframe chassis with a bonded composite seating tub, the Double R weighs in at just 1,124 pounds. Behind the cockpit is a 400 horsepower supercharged Duratec inline-four, giving the Double R performance equivalent to modern hypercars and superbikes, with a 0-60 sprint of fewer than three seconds. This 2009 Double R has barely been driven since new and features hand-polished, bare aluminum bodywork that recalls Formula One cars of the ’50s and ’60s, and is one of only 15 made.
