Porsche’s electric Taycan is bringing new exterior colors and upgraded tech to the upcoming 2022 model year. While official range figures will stay the same, new software updates will give the Taycan more range by completely decoupling the front motor during coasting and under partial load conditions. The motor is re-engaged within milliseconds of the driver pressing the accelerator or changing drive modes. Android Auto and Remote Parking Assist is now available, and the Turbo Charging Planner allows for earlier fast-charging capability. Porsche’s Paint to Sample now can be specified, with over 65 different colorways including the classic Rubystar Red pictured here.
