To mark the 6th installment of AG’s annual Made in Italy capsule of sartorial-inspired tailored garments, the brand partnered with renowned eyewear savant Ashley Bézamat of Dom Vetro to create an exclusive offering of luxury eyewear crafted in the classic Italian tradition.
Much like AG, Dom Vetro practices his craft with care, using materials and processes that are more sustainable than that of common practice, and, like AG, he remains local to Los Angeles—making Dom Vetro the only eyeglass company to make their products in LA. Addressing the ever-growing need to reduce plastic waste, Dom Vetro sources mineral glass lenses, a recyclable lens that offering superior optical clarity and a much smaller carbon footprint than plastic. Furthermore, two of the colorways found in the AG x Dom Vetro collection, Dark Tortoise and Jet Black, are made from biodegradable, plant-based Italian acetate—meaning if you ever happen to discard a pair, highly unlikely given the heirloom quality, they won’t be found clogging up landfills hundreds of years later.
