I was quite excited for this one. It had been a while since I’d tried something as old as 24 years! So, I pressed play on the new series of The Crown, poured this dark, desirable dram into my glass and put my feet up!
On the nose, it was soft and sweet with a hint of spiced vanilla. The taste was definitely better than I had anticipated! A deep, thick and matured mouthful! A soft mix of chocolate, orange and spice. Very, very well balanced! With a warm and gentle finish, hints of toffee and spice.
A strong and satisfying winter warming evening dram! Highly recommend.
