A collaboration of four companies, the Aura is an innovative take on the classic British roadster. Building on the rich tradition of Austin-Healey, Lotus, MG, and Triumph, the Aura uses a familiar chassis construction with careful placement of the motors and batteries to preserve weight balance and maximize handling. There is no woof or windows and the body is constructed of a bio-composite shell that’s been sculpted to minimize drag and extend range. The Aura can go 400 miles on a full charge, and special attention was paid to make the car as ergonomic as possible, with a self-leveling digital display mounted in the steering wheel and a 10-inch display handling navigation and other less-critical information. The team behind the Aura plans to further test and develop the car throughout 2021.
