BUSYPEOPLE KTM SCRAMBLER MOTORCYCLE

Based in Mumbai, India, graphic designer Akash Das can’t keep his art in only two dimensions. Das and wife Garima operate BusyPeople as a side project, doing everything from photography to custom motorcycles — one of which is the KTM 390 Duke you see here. Das saw potential in the 390 for a modern scrambler, a mark he hit admirably using a combination of processes for the custom pieces. The tank uses a two-piece design with a retro-styled aluminum cover over a fuel cell. The headlight is a JW LED unit with built-in Bluetooth speaker, housed behind an aluminum honeycomb cover and tight-fitting faring. A custom rear subframe carries a small mudguard and a custom seat with tough synthetic leather. The bike rides on 17-inch Akront spoked rims front and rear, and a simple, clean shad of metallic grey contrasts with the frame.
