Chanel offers a refined take on the auto-inspired timepiece with the debut of its Monsieur Superleggera. Inspired by the brand’s J12 Superleggera from 2005, the watch features a jumping hour window with a 240-degree retrograde minute and circular seconds reader, giving the dial the look of a speedometer. Its guilloche background creates a carbon fiber effect, while a black nickel finish on the ceramic and steel case and bezel enhance the race car aesthetic. Powered by the French fashion house’s first self-winding mechanical movement, the Calibre 1 offers a 72-hour reserve and can be viewed through the transparent case back. It’s finished with a nylon strap with a red calfskin lining and will be released next month.
