Nick Offerman has always held advice from his dad, Ric, in the highest regard. Ric taught Nick to work his hardest, and after a job well done, the pair always enjoy a well-earned beverage, be it Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky or Guinness Beer. In honor of Father’s Day 2021, Nick Offerman set forth on his most ambitious mission yet: to unite his and his dad’s mutual love for Single Malt Scotch and Irish stout to create a whisky that is right up their workbench: Lagavulin Offerman Edition: Guinness Cask Finish. As part of the pair’s ongoing partnership, Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky and Nick Offerman—with the help of Guinness—are proud to release this new, limited-edition Single Malt aged in former Guinness casks from the Open Gate Brewery in Maryland, which received the ultimate seal of approval—a firm nod and handshake from Ric Offerman himself.
TASTING NOTES: This 11 Year Old Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky is finished for four months in barrels that previously held Guinness Beer at the Open Gate Brewery in Maryland.. The result is a glorious adventure in ‘sweet peat’ by combining the intense peat and charred wood notes of the Lagavulin with the roasted coffee, dark chocolate and sweet caramel notes from the Guinness casks,
complemented with dashes of red berries and green apple to establish an incredible foundation of flavor. Best enjoyed while sharing stories—either neat or on ice.
