LAP POOL HOUSE

Implanted into a hillside on Greece’s Tinos Island, the Lap Pool House references the island’s landscape from a minimalist perspective. The seaside home is partially buried in the ground, becoming a part of the topography with a planted roof, while the clean lines of its rectangular forms disrupt the rugged surroundings like a crack in the terrain. As its name implies, the focus of the dwelling is on the swimming pool. Adding fluidity to the concrete project, the water feature extends toward the shore and cantilevering over the land below.
