Dry Fly Distilling Fort George Beer Barrel Finished Wheat Whiskey

Every angler knows why Catch & Release is important. Sustainability, bigger fish, and healthier population. It’s this spirit we’ve adopted with our Cask & Release series. We release our used whiskey barrels into the “wild” to be conditioned by Northwest-made craft beer. We then take these barrels back and refill them with the same whiskey that had once called them home. Craft collaboration done right.

While at Fort George, these barrels housed a robust, think stout beer with notes of dark chocolate, vanilla, and charred oak, deceptively smooth at 14.9%
