American Whiskey Bourbon Whisky/Whiskey

Rabbit Hole Founders Collection Raceking

The latest single release from the whiskey makers at Rabbit Hole, Raceking, is a concoction born from the company’s Founder and Whiskey Maker Kaveh Zamanian’s intense interest in grains and their distinct impact on flavor. Through incorporation of chocolate wheat from Germany and chocolate barley from the UK along with a proprietary malting process, the bottle holds delicious aromatic qualities of chocolate. The name given to this release comes from Kentucky’s tradition of horse racing and a nod to Rabbit Hole’s continuous push toward innovation within the American whiskey space. With this particular expression the company explores how malting organically expands the range of flavors in whiskey. The mash bill is comprised of 70% corn, 13% rye, 10% malted rye, 4% chocolate malted wheat and 3% chocolate malted barley. Aging was done in wood-fired, toasted and charred new American Oak barrels and pours out at 109.2 proof that highlights the full potential of the double chocolate-malted grains and keeps with previous Founder’s Collection releases.
