REGGIE JACKSON’S ERA COBRA 289FIA

Baseball isn’t the only thing legend Reggie Jackson is good at — Mr. October also has fine taste in automobiles. While not an original Cobra, this 289FIA is a replica built by the consummate professionals at ERA Replica Automobiles in Connecticut. ERA makes some of the best reps in the business, and this Cobra is a perfect example of what they can do. Built in the spirit of the flyweight FIA 289 privateer racers of the ’60s, this Cobra has had a few modifications since it left Mr. Jackson’s ownership. A 351 cubic-inch V8 and a Tremec TKO five-speed manual replace the four-speed Toploader it came with, although the four-speed is included in the sale. A Yankee blue with white meatballs and Jackson’s number 44 emblazon the exterior. Inside are black leather seats and carpet instead of the bare aluminum found on the originals. The car is currently up for auction on Bring A Trailer.
