Triumph’s TE-1 electric motorcycle is moving closer to production with completion of Phase 3 development and official reveal. The TE-1 is based on the Street and Speed Triple and collaborations with Williams Advanced Engineering and Integral Powertrain of the UK have brought the powertrain and transmission to life. Ohlins RSU suspension and Brembo M50 monobloc calipers are combined with a revised frame to transmit the power to the road, with Triumph’s own software controlling the electric motor. Phase 4 will test the TE-1’s components in road tests, with the final segment of on-track testing coming afterward.
