Rivaling Boston Dynamics’ Spot, Xiaomi has developed its own breed of quadruped robots with the CyberDog. The open-source robot companion is powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX platform AI Supercomputer with 84 CUDA Cores, 48 Tensor Cores, a 6 Carmel ARM CPU, and 2 deep learning acceleration engines. It roams around using 11 build-in sensors that provide the robot with instant feedback, allowing it to navigate and interact with its surroundings. To up the pet factor, human posture and face recognition tracking allow the robotic pet to follow its owner like a loyal pup while responding to commands via voice assistance. Built with an open-source platform, users are encouraged to personalize their new friends to their liking.
