ZERO X DEUS EX MACHINA MOTORCYCLE

Dues ex Machina’s collaboration is both a first and last — the first electric motorcycle build from the custom shop, and the last Deus build by famed guru Michael “Woolie” Woolaway before he moves on to the next phase of his career. Woolaway was introduced to Zero at the Pikes Peak Hillclimb, and it was immediately evident that the two were a natural pairing, leading to the first custom Zero SR/S you see here. Heavily inspired by racing bikes of the ’70s and ’80s, the all-carbon-fiber bodywork is a one-off piece handmade by Taylor Made Racing. The windscreen is hand-blown by Zero Gravity, while Saddlemen provided the seat. Woolaway nodded to the bike’s electric powertrain with high-power warning symbols, including one taken from the earliest days of electricity. Underneath the style is Zero’s lauded SR/S, with 140 lb-ft of instant torque and a range of 200 miles.
