The European-style camper van is creeping up on the RV, and Thor’s Sanctuary shows why camper vans are gaining in popularity. Built on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 4×4 platform, the Sanctuary is designed for both off-road and off-grid living. Outside are Thule accessories like a retractable awning with integrated lighting and a rear bike rack and roof rack with ladder. Two different interior floorplans are offered: the 19P with a bench seat that converts into a bed, and the 19L with a fixed double bed. Both models get a full kitchenette, cassette toilet, sink, shower, and wet bath, and a 72-liter freshwater tank with a Truma Combi water heating system. A 24-inch TV, Apple Car Play, and Android Auto take care of any media needs, and a 1,900-watt rooftop solar panel, Onan 2500 LP generator, and a 1,000-watt inverter keep everything powered up. The Thor Sanctuary is available now.
