The next Ford Ranger Raptor has broken cover with a boost in performance that makes it worthy of the Raptor name. Under the hood is Ford’s familiar twin-turbo Ecoboost V6, making 392 horsepower and 429 lb-ft of torque, with an anti-lag system that keeps the turbos spooled up while off the accelerator for up to three seconds. Every gear for the 10-speed automatic has an individual boost map to keep the engine in its optimal powerband, along with a four-mode active exhaust system for quiet suburbs to wide-open loud. Seven drive modes combined with Fox 2.5 Live Valve active dampers give the Ranger Raptor superior on and off-road performance, along with an active two-speed transfer case and full-time four-wheel-drive. The new Ranger Raptor arrives in late Summer 2022.
