Former Jet.com founder Marc Lore enlisted the help of Bjarke Ingels Group to envision the future of urban living. Named Telosa, the city concept is planned to be located within the United States and will be built from the ground up. Its unique skyline consists of lattice-like buildings, including a cylindrical cluster called the Equitism tower. The “beacon for the City” acts as a civic center for gatherings, while a photovoltaic roof, elevated water storage, and aeroponic farms help supply the city. It’s surrounded by a lush central park with vibrant public spaces planted with native fauna and reservoirs to store water for the metropolis. The landscapes weave throughout the city blocks with roads built more for bikes and pedestrians. With transportation is needed, slow autonomous cars safely take locals to work, shops, and public spaces. Lore hopes to begin welcoming residents in 2030.
