The Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, held on the shores of Italy’s Lake Como, is one of the world’s premier classic car events. Since 2012, the Best of Show winner has received a custom A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Time Zone watch. The 2021 winner, however, will receive something different: the 1815 Chronograph 2021 Concorso Edition. This one-of-a-kind timepiece has a 39.5mm case made from 18k white gold, paired with a dial made from solid 18k pink gold with brown-colored chronograph counters. The fetching face is powered by an L951.5 manually-wound movement, visible through the sapphire crystal caseback that’s covered with a hand-engraved hinged cuvette bearing the event’s coat of arms. A. Lange & Söhne CEO Wilhelm Schmid will personally present the watch to the winner on the last day of the event.
