Built in 1954, the Goetschel House is the first single-family residence designed by architectural icon Ray Kappe. The three-bedroom home sits on Mesa Lila Road and is tucked into a hillside with live oak trees. Its exterior features a contrasting facade of raw block and horizontal redwood planks, while the 1,700 square foot interior has been completely renovated with modern systems and its period details reinstated to include cork floors, wood-paneled walls, and expansive glazing. On the exterior, the original pool has been updated with new equipment, plaster, tile, and coping for an oasis to enjoy the California climate.
