HARPER HOUSE

For the first time in 25 years, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Harper House is on the market. The home was built in 1950 on the shore of Lake Michigan in St. Joseph. Constructed from Chicago Common Brick, its ranch-style silhouette features several dramatic roof pitches and an L-shaped layout. Internally, exposed brick runs throughout the 3,154 square foot interior, while tidewater cypress planks clad the ceilings. The interior features three bedrooms and an open living area anchored by a central fireplace and furnished with the architect’s signature built-ins. Enveloped in floor-to-ceiling windows, the great room, dining area, and kitchen are afforded sweeping views over the lake.
