LOST WHISKEY CABIN

Anchored to a hillside in Virginia, the Lost Whiskey Cabin is designed for slowing down. The weekend retreat blends Scandinavian design and the rugged countryside with a sleek, all-concrete construction. Internally, the exposed cement walls and floors create a minimalist atmosphere while steel-frame windows highlight views of the rural landscape. Although the interior living space consists of just 160 square feet, a cantilevered terrace extends from the main structure adding a fire pit, wood-burning hot tub, and floating hammock to the residence. Featuring solar panels, cisterns, a compost toilet, and fireplace, the dwelling is able to operate completely off-grid, making for the ideal place to unwind and recharge.
