Perched on a giant boulder on a rocky coastline, the Ocean Cabin is a remote getaway unlike any other. The project is the brainchild of Sri Lankan-based architect and 3D artist Thilina Liyanage and envisions a unique oceanfront retreat at the edge of the world. To reach the shelter, guests ascend up a series of stairs wrapped around the massive rock. The walkway ends at an A-frame suspended on a foundation of stilts. Inside, the compact cabin hosts an opening living space with a sleeping mezzanine above. A full, triangular wall of glazing and skylight in the peak removes the boundaries between the interior and the landscape, immersing visitors in the exotic scenery.
