For over a century, Hurley’s hosted a range of cultural icons including late-night TV hosts, novelists, and Saturday Night Live cast members. The saloon shut its doors in 2000, but thanks to celebrity investors like Pete Davidson, Justin Theroux, and Nicholas Braun, Pebble Bar aims to revive the former watering hole’s historic spirit. The new hangout occupies four floors of a townhouse in Rockefeller Center. Its dimly lit interitors offer a variety of intimate gathering spots to indulge in craft cocktails, fresh oysters, and decadent seafood towers. On the top floor, a private room named Johnny’s, a homage to Johnny Carson, presents a spot for small parties and is only accessible by a hidden entrance. The Pebble Bar opens on March 2, 2022.
