Tucked between century-old oaks and chestnuts in a dense forest in Portugal, the Treetop house aims to keep inhabitants close to nature. The minimalist dwelling is constructed from two concrete planes held up by a glazed facade. The transparent walls blur the boundaries between the interior and the outdoors allowing the landscape to penetrate the living space. The interior is left mostly open to keep from obstructing views and relies on the furniture to define each space, while muted gray tones provide a neutral palette to showcase the green hues of the surrounding vegetation.
